Bi Social Network went out to the Vigil here in Chicago on October 8 at 7:30 p.m. at De Paul University where a crowd of about 300 LGBT supports, leaders and activist took part in celebrating the lives of Nines LGBT Youth who have died due to their sexuality. Speakers ranged from a black transgender male, a bisexual activist, a gay youth, a PFLAG mother of a gay son and a lesbian, who knew what bullying was like when she walked the halls of middle school.
We talked to people in the crowd and recorded this broadcast live! (It’s a little faint because they had mic issues, but it’s clear) Enjoy the podcast.
The partners and speakers of this event were Ed Negron of Chicago Bisexual/Meetup (Listen to interview at the end of Podcast – around 60:00), The Trevor Project, Gay Liberation Network, LGBT Change and other local groups.
